July 3 (Andy Ballard)

• TRAINING PLAN •

For Everyone:

Enjoy your freedom! Fun ride at a conversation pace. Let the riders help pick the trails (as long as they are cleared for your group). Don’t forget to warm-up. Use this fun ride as an opportunity to work on and assess downhill skills.

Off Limit Trails:

  • Limelight (Rush)
  • Jacob’s Ladder
  • Levitate / Zooropa / Vertigo
  • Maple Hollow DH
  • Jump pump tracks
  • Any trail where riders in your group intentionally jump their bikes. This means if riders jump, that trail immediately becomes officially off limits to that group until the group gets permission from the head coaches.

Trails only Pink, Black, Silver & Red can do:

  • Upper Rush (which is the section from the Peakview Trailhead down to the upper intersection with Canyon Hollow by the s-curves and bridge, and includes the following named trails: Rush Flow, Through the Trees, and the upper part of Exit Stage Left)
  • Middle Rush (which includes the section of Exit Stage Left from the intersection with Canyon Hollow by the s-curves and bridge down to where Rush crosses the lower part of Canyon Hollow)
  • Lower Rush (which includes the section from where Rush crosses the lower part of Canyon Hollow down to the five-way intersection)

Trails Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple can do if they want:

  • Baby Rush (which are the sections from below the 5-way) Before you take any of these groups on these, stop and have a talk with the riders about plenty of spacing. Warn them about the sharp turns at the bottom. They need room to be able to see it coming so they can brake before the turn and not crash.
  • The ride leader in front needs to go the speed that is appropriate for the group so riders are not trying to keep up with the faster ride leader.
