We are really excited for you to join Chain Lynx!

The three steps to register are outlined below (with an optional — but highly encouraged — fourth step for ride leaders).

STEP 0 • PROVIDE YOUR CONTACT INFO

STEP 1 • REGISTER IN TEAMSNAP • $285

OPENS: April 11, 2024
CLOSES: April 20, 2024

• Starting on April 11, the first step for a student rider to join Chain Lynx is to go to TeamSnap to register for the team. You’ll need to login (if you already have a TeamSnap account) or create an account (if you don’t already have one).

• Once you are logged into TeamSnap, you can fill out the registration form and pay the team fee ($285). Once this step is complete, the team will be notified.

• The team will then send you an email with a link to our team store on the DNA Cycling website. The email will include a coupon code you must use when ordering the Team Package (uniform, water bottle, and t-shirt) for your rider. Please allow us up to 24 hours to process your info and send you an email. We will try to be quicker than that… 🙂

STEP 2 • ORDER TEAM PACKAGE AT DNA

DEADLINE: April 27, 2024

Once we receive notification that you have registered through TeamSnap, the team will send you an email with instructions and a link to the Chain Lynx Team Store at DNA Cycling. The email will include a coupon code will cover the cost of ordering your rider’s Team Package. This year, each registered rider’s Team Package will include: team race jersey, team race bibs (bike lingo for “shorts”), team socks, water bottle, and t-shirt.

Beyond ordering the Team Package for your student rider — which is required to be on the team — consider picking up some additional items (for the student rider, ride leaders, family members, friends, etc.). These include any item in the Team Package, plus baggie cycling shorts (men- and women-specific), a baggie cycling jersey, sweatshirts, hat, and gloves.

STEP 3 • LEAGUE / NICA SIGNUP • $300

DEADLINE: April 27, 2024

Once you’ve completed Step 1 and Step 2, we will arrange to have the Utah High School Cycling League / NICA (the Utah League) send you an email to register your student rider with the Utah League.

The Utah League registration fee is $300, which pays for races and insurance. This registration and fee are required to participate on the team; no rider will be allowed to participate with the team until this process is complete.

This registration process takes place in what is called “the Pitzone” (NICA’s online registration and membership management portal). Detailed registration instructions and a thorough registration FAQ can be found on the Utah League’s website (link will be provided here when registration opens).

Note that we have elected to close our registration earlier than the Utah League’s deadline so that we are better situated to have pre-season activities and hit the ground running with the student riders on June 1st

OPTIONAL STEP 4 •
REGISTER TO BE A RIDE LEADER!!!

• If you are interested in becoming a ride leader (BE INTERESTED!), go to TeamSnap again to register as a ride leader. This will be the same type of process you followed when you registered your student rider. You can even use the same TeamSnap login.
