Happy last day of normal practice!! It has been an amazing season. A huge thank you to all of you ride leaders. It’s been amazing to see the progression of all the riders from the first few practices to where they all are now! It is a direct result of your dedication, support, and encouragement. THANK YOU!
If anyone was not at our picture day, come in your full kit to get your individual photo taken before pedaling off with your group.
In order to celebrate such a fun season and all the friendships we have created while accomplishing our goals, we are going to have a choose your own adventure ride. Everyone can choose your own group to ride in. We will spread cones out and you can have a day riding with who you want. Keep in mind, you and your pals might not be at the exact same level, so groups will ride for the safety of the entire group. If you want a more challenging ride, you know the kids that have been in your groups and you can stick with them.
Ride leaders, once student riders have settled into roughly ok sized groups, we will disperse and make sure every group has at least two ride leaders, hopefully three to four in case groups spread out. We’ve never tried this before, so it could be a bit crazy! Hopefully it makes for a fun last practice!
Coach disclaimer: We hold the right to move some riders around for the sake of decent group sizes or safety concerns.
ALL GROUPS
Choose your favorite trails and enjoy as much continuous pedaling as possible. Talk about where riders had started and the skills everyone has gained through their hard work and dedication. Find out what they are excited about for the last race or if there’s anything they’d like to work on. Panguitch will feel like a much easier race course than Beaver Mountain. Having more confidence on the terrain will hopefully allow riders to really push out of their comfort level and give it their all for this last race.
