August 13 – 130 raffle

For Everyone:

Today is our 130 mile challenge raffle!! Please have your groups back to the parking lot so we can start the raffle fun by 7:30. There will be food for everyone, T-shirts for all the riders and ride leaders who finished the challenge, prizes for all the riders who finished, and some prizes for the lucky ride leaders who get their names drawn.

Other than that, have a fun ride. Since it’s a shortened length practice, try to leave the parking lot as quickly as possible and keep the stopping to a minimum. Keep your groups pedaling!

  • Re-emphasize the warm up structure Communicate to the riders when you are speeding up and slowing down during the warm up so they will speed up and slow down with you.
  • Talk about and practice the race day tips especially drinking while riding and getting water bottles back into cages safely without having to stop.
  • This is a perfect day to work on any specific skills your group needs help with. If you’re not sure what skills your group needs or how to teach those skills, chat with one of the coaches or send us a message on TeamSnap to get some ideas.
